Coronavirus (COVID-19) Ticketing Update

The wellbeing of our customers who purchase tickets through our ticketing platform is our number one priority. However due to the terms and conditions of our website, we do not have have any say in whether events will be going ahead or not and it is totally upto the discretion of the ticket seller.

At the current time of writing (6th March), the risk in most places are not at a level where we believe ticket sellers should cancel events apart from certain areas such as in the Middle East, Asia and parts of Italy where the official guidance is not to host big events. If in the future the advice changes that all events must be cancelled in a specific area and no refund or change in date is offered we may intevene as part as a special circumstance under point 2 of our Terms and Conditions and offer refunds however this will be last resort.

For advise on whether you should host an event have a look at your relevant government or local state website. If the local rules in your area state that events must not be held and we find that event hosts are offering no refund or a change in date then we intervene as part as a special circumstance under point 2 of our Terms and Conditions and offer refunds however this will be last resort.

We will be monitoring the situation and making periodic updates if we believe this advice should change for our ticket sellers however we do recommend that all our customers follow basic hygiene to try and lower the chance of a passing the virus to other people such as:

  • Cover your mouth and nose every time you cough or sneeze. Use a disposable tissue if possible and dispose of in a bin
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water especially every time you cough or sneeze, or use an alcohol-based hand-sanitising product. Most of the bathrooms at the Hall have sensor-activated taps
  • Avoid touching your face with your hands
  • If you have a general cough/cold, avoid close contact with others such as hugging or shaking hands

Throughout the pandemic, as you will be aware, the whole events industry have had difficulty to keep running with cash flow problems due the reduced income and limited grants available for UK companies in particular. We however have plans in place to ensure that we can continue to offer the same support as we always have and will be to survive the pandemic whatever it throws to us. We thought we'd mention this incase you are worried that we have have cash flow problems and lack of support especially when the furlough scheme ends at the end of the month which could impact many in our industry heavily.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy your event.
